Now this is happening more frequently: After a restart (usually after a System Update, but really any restart for that matter), be it hard (unplugging and replugging) or soft (via the Messages and Settings menu), the resulting TiVo may or may not be unusually sluggish. (Less often, the restart will result in a blank menu--the ultimate sluggish level of infinity.) It's a bit of a crap shoot: It doesn't always happen, and not to any particular model; I initially thought it was the XLs that were more prone, but today, the plain ol' HD is snagged.
Restarting helps initially, but one may need to do it a few times to get it back to snuff. Usually that's it, but today, the affected HD slows down to a crawl over time back to a sluggish pace. It can't just be indexing/housekeeping; the thing gets
slower as time goes by.
I'm tired of restarting, hoping this time will be it, only to find out it's just a matter of time. Any ideers or experiences that might help me?
