HBO discounts lately ???

Any deals lately on HBO ?? $14/month for a show (BM) I only watch once a week seems high for me. Just wondering if I can get a cheaper price with only getting channel 501 instead of the several you get. They mainly have the same programs only time shifted which isn't a necessary feature with Tivo

Because there are so few shows on the Premium channels is why I don't subscribe. For movies, I can wait for them to show up on any number of the other HD channels.

I agree... the premium channels are all a waste of money. As soon as my free preview runs out on March 15, I'm dumping all the premiums. I got a free 6 months from Directv when I called last year regarding a problem with my local channels. Something about being a good customer... only drawback is I'll have to call them again to remove the premiums and probably get the hard sell to keep them.

The only hard sell that will work with me is for them to offer a premium for free forever.

$180 a year for HBO is a lot of money. We are thinking seriously about canceling.
