Question Download Interrupted (network & phone)

Started receiving messages that my Series 2 guide information was running out. My last successful update was jan 28 2009. I have used a wireless connection for several years with no issues. Each time I try to connect to Tivo it connects then during the download I get a "download interrupted" error.
I switched to phone connection and the same thing occurs, during the download portion I get a "call interrupted" error.
I have called Tivo Tech support 4 times. They all get stuck on the network side of it. I know it's not a network issue sine I can connect to the network and even see my other Tivo on the network. Not to mention that I get the same error when I use the phone line. So the 2 connection problems seem to be related.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to try now?

Just keep trying with the connections.

I had this come up a few times recently on my HDTivo, and my series 2 DT, and after 3 or 4 tries on the network settings, it would finally go through

I've tried probably a dozen times. My HD Tivo on the network is working fine...

I had a problem like this crop up last winter on a Series 2 attached to Comcast digital cable in Colorado, after working fine for several years.

Tried power cycling everything -- Tivo, router, cable modem -- and using the telephone line, but always go a message that the guide information was running out and I couldn't get programs in the future to be scheduled for recording, even when I forced a refresh of the guide information.

I finally got the problem solved by going further back into the menu and re-selecting my cable service provider -- even though it was the same one I had always had. The reloading of all of this information took about an hour, but it worked, and I've had no problems since.
