You need to add something like
Code:
[PushedVids]
path=/Applications/kmttg_v2.1u
type = video
manually to your pyTivo.conf file. Or use the webpage/GUI. Or, move your file to your /Applications/pytivo/videos directory before trying to push it.

Thanks!

What encoding format do I have to use to be able to upload them to my Tivo and play them there?

Technically, I suppose any format pyTivo can support, which is probably anything ffmpeg can decode, which is a huge list.

However, to avoid pyTivo (using ffmpeg) having to transcode videos, which can be slow... .mpg, .mp4, and .TiVo work fine. I think .ts should work too. Maybe ask in the pyTivo thread.

I think any of the output from kmttg, whether it is simply a transfer, or that plus decode, or that plus encode, should work.
