Tivo to Plex video downloading

I have a Plex media server and I'm looking for the best solution to pull video from my premiere Tivo to my Plex server? I've read about pytivo, TiVo desktop, streambaby, kmttg, ect. but I'm a little confused on what would be my best solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are all good solutions. desktop is the easiest to install, but kmttg is not too difficult, pytivo is a little more involved but is fine if you just follow the instructions.

I like pytivo as it is a web-based interface so I can send content to my tivo with my tablet/phone without interrupting what is on the screen.

I have Tivo Desktop installed already but Plex can not recognize the Tivo video format. Do I need to transcode it to a different format for Plex to recognize it?

All these programs, Tivo Desktop, PyTivo, KMTTG. all just interact with the Tivo.

.TiVo files are simply .MPG files with an encryption layer. It can be removed with TivoDecode. KMTTG has it already with the program and is a function called decrypt.

Thank you! I'll give KMTTG a try.
