You have 2 options only.
1. TTG... That is you transfer the shows to your computer. Then using any number of programs available you can watch them elsewhere. There is
ONE caveat to this method.
ANY show that is
COPY PROTECTED, you will
NOT be able to transfer to your computer and watch elsewhere or on other devices. Orb software will work. You can get it here:
http://www.orb.com , You will still have to
TRANSFER the video on your TiVo to you computer
FIRST. In this case, you will need a program such as
PCAnywhere to control your home computer to transfer the show. Then once the show has been transfered, use
ORB to watch it.
2. Get a Slingbox. There are other competitors for the slingbox, but the prices are still about the same. Slingbox is still the best. This will allow you to watch your TiVo as though you were sitting at home watching TV. Except now you will be watching it on your computer &/or cell phone. You will even be able to watch
LIVE TV Local to your home, as well as any shows that have been
"Copy Protected". So if you want to check the weather at your home, or see other live shows that might not be available in the area that your traveling. You will be able to do so with the Slingbox.
Slingbox is still the only true answer to your solution. It is also the best solution for travelers. Why you don't want to get more equipment I am not for sure I understand that. The size of the slingbox (any variety) isn't that big.
