What's up with my Tivo? Help Please

Hi all,
hope someone can help me here.

Earlier in the week, I noticed that my Now Showing screen looked a little odd and on closer inspection, looks like it's gotten the dates of recorded shows wrong.

My Now Showing screen has set a LOT of my recent recordings as having recorded on the 1/1 when in fact they were recorded last week. It also has an Episode of CSI that it thinks was recorded on 29th December this year!!!

I'm also getting some errors to the effect that "An internal error occurred: Error loading the Now Playing list"

It's a Series 1 Tivo and the only thing I've done in the last day or two was upgrade to the latest Suggestions (suggs.tcl) and configure streaming to my XBMC (ccxstream).

Has anyone come across this before or can anyone offer a suggestion as to how I might best troubleshoot this?

thanks in advance,
Bri

Have you tried rebooting?

yeah - rebooted a few times now in the hopes that it'd sort itself out.

I suspect my hard drive might be corrupt....shame as I only upgraded it in the last 6 months...

Don't know if it helps but I've been looking through the kernel logs and it looks like it's losing its time settings from there.

Something went wrong in the upgrade?

Do you still have the previous drive, still with TiVo software on it?

If so (and you didn't replace it because IT was corrupt) put the old drive back in, and see if the problem persists.

If the earlier drive works fine, then you know it's the newer drive, and time to either scrub and re-image it, or just replace it with a new one with appropriate image.

I really wish the rebooting had worked on this one...

Yeah - was hoping not to have to take it apart
Thing is that it's been working fine since the upgrade which was way back around the time that suggestions stopped working...

I'm wondering if the CMOS battery is losing charge....it looks like it loses the time and date as it's rebooting...and then picks it up again when it's had a chance to settle down...

I'll take a close look tomorrow. I have a spare drive (and a couple of spare images I can use if I have to, just didn't want to have to downgrade to a smaller hard drive )

thanks for the suggestions...
