Survivor Gabon: OAD 11/20/08
Yea Randy is gone!
That was a great blindside of Randy. Nothing was better than seeing his smug little smile get wiped off his face when Jeff said that it was not the immunity idol.
Randy really is a bitter old man.
Crystal was hilarious in how loud she spoke during the voting. She didn't care who heard her.
Oh and YEA RANDY'S GONE!

A classic episode! I've been waiting for someone to speak loudly when voting, and Crystal didn't disappoint. Bob has two ways of playing things now: admit he made the fake, or claim Sugar duped him by placing the fake. I also wonder if the free clue Bob passed up on had anything interesting. Corrinne is so screwed, which is as it should be for an arrogant b1itch.

That was like watching a glorious, beautiful 30-car pile-up happen in slow motion.

I wish chrys would have spoken up..so hard to hear her
I dont know how they didnt LOL louder....maybe they edited that out? I dont think i could have been quiet then. And i'd be really shocked if Randy didnt say anything towards them but maybe we didnt see it. He doesnt strike me as classy, walking out without saying 'bye'

Great episode. Who knew Bob could be so devious?
I don't know how Jeff could keep a straight face when Randy came forward with the fake idol.
Bye, Randy (who somehow reminded me of Nick Nolte).

Bob said that the clue he was given was just one of the clues he was led to when he followed the first clue he was given last week.

Great ep. But what was up with Kenny's bidding? Was there any reason to hold on to the $1,000 he had?
The cookie exchange was classic, and kudos to Sugar for taking the second cookie offering. She really knew how to pull Randy's strings.
For what he did, Bob deserves a chance for the final 4 at least.
(spoiler about the previews)

And he ASSUMED the clue would lead to the same thing. That could be a fatal assumption.
Also, when they were casting votes, Sugar said something at the end, and there was a glitch in my reception. I didn't hear what she said, but there was an appearance of a special effect that made her look demonic (the frame jumped and froze with her eyes open wider than usual.) What did she say?

Wasn't it 660 he had? Spent 340, stole 500.
I agree though. I wouldn't have held back.
Bob's idol was so awesome.

She closed her rant/speech by saying "you need to grow up before you die a lone...." pausing/thinking she suddenly blurts out "...LOOZAH!" ("loser"), and holds her hand up to form an "L".

Best ever use of a hidden immunity idol (even if it was a fake) and couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Kudos to Sugar for orchestrating the entire thing... by the way, is it just me or does she keep getting cuter with every episode.

Anyone notice how vascular Bob is looking: his chest looks ripped like a body builder's, minus the muscle. And someone mentioned that the two physical threats are Matty and Bob!

I saw the plan coming together from like the first 20 min, mainly due to Jeff's blog but even then I think this is the best TV ever (or almost). The immunity challenge was very close (I am sure it was edited to be closer then it was but still that was dang close!) and then the whole fake idol, Corrine smiling, winking at the jury, jury laughing when the whole idol came out and thought the 3 lives to see another day to Jeff going this ain't the idol to the jury laughing again that Randy just got screwed. From the footage it looks like Bob had a great poker face too. At this point I don't think it matters how he plays it as in staying gamewise, but jury wise I would probably play it as yeah I helped get Randy out. Everyone hates him so that will get him votes if he can make it to the final.
As far as the preview for next week, very interesting, can't wait to find out more details.

This, this, and this
Wow, this has been such a season where I don't really like any of the Survivors and could care less who wins, but have been more entertained than I can ever remember! Sugar, Kenny, and Crystal have really turned into a players. I just never would have thunk it. They owe Susie and Bob big time. Can't wait to read Jeff's blog tomorrow.

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't seem the smartest thing to blindside a member of your alliance when your alliance is down 5-3
But we shall see, I guess

I thought it was foolish of Jeff to throw the fake II into the fire. It could have commanded a premium price on Ebay for Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

I don't get why Bob tricked Randy, but voted for Susie. Seems like she'll be thinking, "Ok. Randy and Corinne voted for me. But who placed that third vote?" I agree Jeff was crazy to throw the fake into the fire. Weird.
And I love Bob. I hope he wins the million. I can picture even Randy being impressed by the trick and giving Bob his vote.

Am I the only one who thinks Randy was just playing the game and it backfired? No one would hire a wedding photographer with his personality. Of course, we don't know how talented or successful he is but still, I really think he was just playing the game. Poorly, I'll admit, but playing the game.

I don't know why Bob went along with giving Randy the fake idol. He could have just told Randy he did not have it. (true) Randy had already made everyone so angry that they were going to vote him off anyway.

Corinne
I dont know if any of you watch the many extra scenes posted at CBS, but this one from this week shows that Corinne really still doesnt understand:
http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivo...lay=true&cc=95
She complains about how this alliance of the weak shouldnt be able to hold together and her powerful alliance of people who really like each other should have been able to dominate them. Umm, the threat of your group, which was larger and stronger a few weeks ago, is what is holding the others together for now. A herd of gazelles will stick together when attacked by lions, and your alliance were definitely the lions. You claim they are too stupid for your strategy to have worked, but they were smart enough to know you would pick them off one by one unless they stuck together and look how that turned out!
Kenny to much of a wuss to make a big move? Which game are you in Corinne?
It should be fun to watch Kenny's group implode once the other group is gone. With the outside threat mostly gone, they should start turning on each other soon.

I know why Jeff threw the idol in the fire. It's a TV show first and that image plus the later lingering shot of it starting to melt made for good TV.
And I am so happy that Bob was able to do something entertaining with that fake idol!
