taking tivo off of comcast box
I am using a TiVo series 2 with Comcast. I am planning to use the TiVo in a seperate room without the Comcast box.
Is there any reason I can't do this?
Pardon the dumb question but it's been a while since I've set-up my TiVo.
Thanks for your help.

You're asking this in the wrong forum.
This is the forum for Comcast DVRs that are running TiVo software and have the TiVo user interface.
You're using a TiVo with a Comcast cable box.
Please ask this in the "Help" forum.

OK, to clarify:
You have digital cable from Comcast, your S2 is currently connected to the cable box, but you want to move your S2 to another room and use it to record analog channels only?
If so, yes, but you might need to run guided setup again.
