Plot choices you wish a show would have made way back when
I'll start.
I wish they would have put Greene and Lewis together on ER at some point during Sherry Stringfield's first run.

I am not sure if you mean plot points that actually did occur later in the show's run. Or would you include plot points that never happened but you wish had?
If you mean plot points that occured later in the run, here are some of mine-
1) Sopranos. I wish the Tony/Carm separation had happened much earlier.
2) Seinfeld. I wish the Jerry/Elaine "post breakup/attempt to keep it just sexual but complications arise" plot point had happened much later in the run. I guess that is the opposite of what you were asking.
3) Six Feet Under. I wish they would have introduced George (Ruth's troubled second husband) earlier in the run.
If you mean plot points that never/have not yet occured-
1) Two and A Half Men. The show stands alone on just the relationship between Alan/Charlie. The mother and Berta are strong characters. I think they could pretty much just write the kid out at this point, or downsize his role which they appear to have done.
2) Friends. I never really bought the sudden Chandler/Monica romance of the ages plot point that came along very late in the show.

I never would have got rid of SD-6. Also, zombies at the end of season 4......c'mon! Nadia NEVER would have been a character.

But then it would just be "Two Men"!
Ruth, I hear ya about Alias. Man, what a mess. I hated the ending so much that I never want to watch the show again.

I always wanted Will & Grace to have a baby together (via insemination since you know he was gay lol) they had the plot years before but never went though with it when she married Leo

Yeah, I know. That is why they are stuck with the kid character. His character just does not seem relevant anymore. Or perhaps the chemistry of the actor isn't there. It has turned into a one joke scene (Jake is lazy and a glutton) and they trot him out for the obligatory scene. At the rate the show is going, it could still be on when the kid turns 18, then would they change the title?

That Superman would fly in Smallville
The the first mission on Enterprise should have been to go back in time and kill 'Beavis & Butthead.'

I was OK with SD-6 ending -- what an amazing episode that was since you never thought a show would have the balls to actually DO something like that.
It was all the people dying and coming back to life, and the enormous plot holes, and the ridiculous giant balloon, and how nothing made any sense at all by the end. They never should have gotten rid of the cliffhanger endings, either.
Just such a shame to see what happenned since the first 2 seasons were so fantastic . . .

Exactly...the first season and half had SD-6! I think the shows downfall was due to ratings. They had to do something to get people interested. Getting rid of SD-6 simplified the plot but dumbed down the show so much it felt like Monkey TV.

Not that I don't like Jonathan Frakes and the character of Will Riker, but in the TNG episode "Second Chances", I would have liked to see them go through with the original concept - Commander Riker is killed on the planet and Lieutenant Riker joins the Enterprise crew; I presume Data would be booted up to first officer and Lieutenant Riker would have had to work his way up the chain of command.
Similarly, it would have been interesting to see if they had stuck with the "Time's Orphan" DS9 episode as a TNG concept focusing on Alexander, except keep the "feral" older Alexander and show him readjusting to society.

JR should not have failed in his effort to sabotage Cliffs Barnes' Gulf oil enterprise.
It was the jump the shark moment for Dallas.
JR was the man viewers loved to hate not the man viewers loved to see lose.

Heh.
I debated including "spoilers" in the title, but then I figured the type of stuff likely to be brought up is (or at least should be) fair game by now. So far, looks like I was right.

I wish after Faith had helped bring down Angelus on Angel, she would have stuck around.
I wish they had never landed on New Caprica on BSG
I wouldn't have dropped a helicopter on Robert Romano on ER.

I wouldn't have gone to that extreme, but I probably would have done something to him. However, I think they waited a couple seasons too long.

I wish Pam Ewing's pregnancy troubles in "Dallas" had been done with consistency. It has always bugged me that they retconned the reasons for her miscarriages.
It even bugged me more than Bobby's return in the shower after the whole previous season was said to have been a dream.

I think Jake's lines are just the same one note adolescent crude humor over and over. The lines by Charlie, Alan, Evelyn, and Berta are much funnier to me.
The show title not withstanding, if they wrote the kid out tomorrow, I think it would be just as strong a show.

What pissed me off about that whole situation is that by doing so, nobody found out Morris was an on-shift pot smoker, and we kept a terrible character.
So yeah, they shouldn't have killed Romano until AFTER Archie got in trouble. You can still kill Romano though.
