Do you watch Doctor who and torchwood?.....

In the turn left thread there was speculation that sci fi cut the reference to torchwood because it doesn't air on sci fi. That make made me curious as to how many people watch both.

Both. Although I'm behind on Torchwood. I have the DVD set and I am only half way through Series 1. Have Series 2 available to me but I am saving it so I can watch it in the proper order.

I watch both, but definitely prefer Doctor Who. Torchwood started off good, but I really didn't like where they went with it. Jack is the only reason I keep watching. If he just went off to be one of the Doctor's companions, I don't think I'd miss Torchwood.

I only watch Who, but I certainly know about Torchwood.

I hate cut-up episodes. Burn in hell, Sci-Fi Channel.

I watched Season 1 of Torchwood, but I haven't seen the current season at all. I don't get BBCA, and I don't know if I'll bother finding it from other sources...

Pretty much "ditto" for me - except I've stopped with Torchwood altogether. It did start out OK, but got soap-oeraish and kinda of turned into "Touch-wood".

FWIW, those of you who gave up on Torchwood before/during Series 2 owe it to yourselves to give it another shot, at least through the end of the series. Without spoiling anything, I'll say that several plot threads are wrapped in unexpected ways.

I've only watched the Doctor via DVD's thus far.
I'm halfway through Series 3.

Torchwood I started watching on BBC America, but switched to the HDNET airings as BBC does some editing to fit in commercials and bleep the bad words, and airs them in SD, HDNET airs them uncut and in HD.
Series 2 was a bit substandard compared to Series 1, but still pretty good TV.

I've BT'd the Doctor series 4 and will start watching it in it's unedited 16x9 glory as soon as I finish the 3rd series DVD's.

Both.

I used to get them as soon as they aired in the UK, but decided to wait for HDNET to show Torchwood as they only had a 3 week delay this year.

Until my cable co gets SciFi HD AND SciFi HD zoom it to full Widescreen, I will continue to get my DW as it airs.

I watch Dr. Who only now. I used to watch Torchwood but found I'd usually fall asleep while I was watching it so I deleted them. I may give them another try if it is still showing.

Both, but I love Dr. Who about a million times more. I'm looking forward to the changes being made with Torchwood.

If SciFi is doing that, they're gonna have fun with the last two episodes ...

I watch both ...

I watch both. I have a looong history with Doctor Who. I really disliked how Torchwood S1 evolved. Torchwood S2 was much, much better.

I watched Torchwood Seasons 1 & 2 via downloaded torrents. I really liked both seasons.

I have tried to watch Dr Who but just have not been able to get into it...

Torchwood. I downloaded the torrents for the first two seasons, and I'm through the first 5 of S01.

Huh. My DVR didn't record Doctor Who for some reason, so I had to obtain Turn Left thru other means and saw the reference to Torchwood. So how was the Sci-Fi airing different?

To answer the question...no, don't watch either...

I think I may have watched a few minutes of Dr. Who back in the 70's if that counts though.

It still had the scene on the park bench but just left out the little part where Rose mentions torchwood by name and says Gwen and Ianto gave their ives.

I liked the Sarah Jane Adventures - except for the stupid suits of the Slitheen. They were so bad.

I thought about it but there were too many possibilities for the poll. Figured I would stick to two shows less likely to screw it up.
