Help with updates

Hello all. I currently have an R10 that I recently (about a week ago) hooked back up to a phone line to get rid of the nag screen. Well, I'm reading about all of these updates, and I've connected to the DVR service (I've tried multiple numbers), but my R10's software version is still 61a...any suggestions for how I can force the upgrade(s), do I need to call Tivo or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go into Messages and settings>settings>phone>connect to dvr service
when that is done go back to messages and settings and restart the dvr service. If you are lucky and the update was downloaded it will restart with the 6.4a system.

"Tivo" has nothing to do with your unit. The R10 is a Directv unit and they are the only ones that can be of any help.

Not exactly correct. The R10 was the last unit to have the TiVo software. But, your main point, that all enquiries would be made to Directv, is, of course, true.
