i tried using instantcake on my seagate 40 gig hd and it keeps tellin me access denied.. read only file system.. any ideas on whats wrong??oh and im tryin to use on my phillips hdr 212...
Make sure you have the hardrive connected to the IDE cable it expects (secondary master?). If you still have the CD ROM on that, that may be why it thinks it is read-only.
There is an advanced mode in IC where you can specify how you have things connected.
Also the CD is suppose to on Primary Slave. Which means nothing should be on Primary master. Some computers don't seem to like that sort of setup.
Just looked at the instructions and it mentions "an attempt is made to auto-detect the location of the CD-ROM drive". So perhaps it isn't as critical as the instructions make it seem.
