Tivo Desktop Problems with Mac

I've installed Tivo Desktop on my Mac, which runs Leopard. When I click on the Tivo Desktop icon in System Preferences it says "Loading Tivo Desktop" and does nothing else. I called Tivo and they said it is something on my computer. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and restarted and it still did not work. I disabled my firewall and it still did not work. Any suggestions?

Same here. I was on the phone with TiVo for 2-3 hours last night. They told me to just "wait 3 days and it should come up". I've restarted all my services, stopped all programs, soft-boot, hard-boot, re-installed... Diagnostic checks... and it's just light a candle and wait 3 days. I'm sorry I spent the $25 now.

I love the idea of the service, it just doesn't work and is crap.

Demand your money back. If TiVo won't give it to you then go to the credit card company and tell them that the software doesn't work.

TiVo needs to stop selling such buggy crapware.

Take a look in the Sharing Preference Pane and see if your computer has a name. When I've heard of this situation in the past, this was usually the issue -- and without a "name", TiVo Desktop will not load. Even if there is a "name" shown, try using the "Edit" button and enter a different name for the computer
