Can't access TiVo remotely, but can locally

On a Mac.

I've forwarded ports 80 and 443 to my internal Tivo IP (airport extreme). I can access the Tivo just fine from within my firewall. However, from the outside world I can't get in.

I thought that perhaps my provider (Cablevision) blocks port 443, but there's nothing on their site about that - just ports 80 and 25 (which are open).

Any ideas, Tivo Community??

Many ISPs do block port 80 to prevent you from running web servers. You might try looking at your Airport logs to see if any traffic is hitting incoming 80.

No, port 80 is open. Can get there just fine using my DynDNS host or direct IP. I get the TiVo welcome page, just not the program list/port 443.

Odd. I was able to forward 443 to my TiVo no problem. Maybe a DynDNS thing? I'm using DNS2Go myself. Did you try the external IP address?. Maybe the Airport does something funky NAT-wise? I did it with my Verizon Actiontec.

Interesting idea you have there - downloading your recordings over the WAN ...
