South Park: OAD 3-12-2008 *spoilers*
Cartman with HIV. Over $17 raised for Eric Martman....
Ooops, Elton couldn't make it... Jimmy Buffet.
Jimmy Buffet?! Nobody likes Jimmy Buffet except for frat boys and alcoholic chics from the South.
South Park is back with a vengance.

It was ok until Eric purposely infected Kyle, lost me at that point.

Excellent Episode. I had no idea that it was a new episode and was glad I caught it.

Are Matt and Trey involved in AIDs awareness or fundraising? It seemed like a loosely vailed plea for funds since AIDS, as they mentioned, seems to be off the radar.
Good episode. I thought they were going to say that Magic's cure is Larry Bird!!

It seemed to me to be more a slap at how much longer HIV+ rich people live versus HIV+ poor people. Also probably a dig at the disproportionate amount of money that was spent on AID research.

You need to check the season pass alerts section more often.

You know, I thought the first episode would have surely poked fun at the writers strike.

And I've been saying forever that Magic Johnson never had HIV!

It was good for me until the end. There was no payoff on the joke. (unless it was in the last 5 seconds. My recordings of South Park tend to cutoff on the very very end)
And to me, the show was saying that if you are rich, HIV is no big deal. (Magic Johnson, the white guy in the Range Rover telling the guys in Africa what they needed to do, etc.)

Except that they kept saying (at least 2x) that HIV has been replaced by cancer as the "disease du jour". While yes there was the obvious reference that the rich have the advantage (as they do with ANYTHING...money talks), it seemed to me that AIDS has become a forgotten disease and that MONEY will bring a cure (hence the money AS the cure).
I guess we just see it differently.

There were funny moments, but this episode was lackluster in my opinion. Cartman infecting Kyle was predictable. Funniest lines were the "I'm not just sure, I am HIV-Positive." Also liked the schoolyard fight.

The last 5 seconds were Kyle saying, "I'm going to break your Xbox anyway" and walking off, then Cartman freaking out and going after him.
I wonder if M$ paid for the Xbox product placement?

And I LOL'ed all three times it was said. But I agree, this wasn't that great of an episode. I expected more for their return.

Pretty weak episode, especially for a season opener.
