Qualifing sub and MSD question
I have a few units on 1 yr.prepay (and 2 BN HD's with Lifetime), when the 1st 1 yr.prepay/qualifing sub runs out will Tivo just automatically start charging regular monthly(or could I call and get another 1 yr.prepay) and keep as "qualifier" which in turn will not have an effect on my other MSD machines? I hope I'm making sense

With current Plans, you can cancel or switch their commitments to the MSD plan(s) available, when they are up.
Your Product Lifetime units (or one of them) will become the qualifier for MSD on the others.

Yup, always good to have 1 lifetime active (has to call in at least once every 6 months) and use others on MSD when you can

BN HD's???
Assuming you have a bunch of Tivos, some on prepay and some with lifetime, the lifetime subscriptions are the qualifiers for MSD on your other Tivos.
What you'll get charged depends on when each of the tivos was subscribed.

Thanks everyone. BN=brand new, I activated LT a couple months back on one and will do the other quite soon.. expensive but seems the best value/bang for the buck! I believe my LT sub does not nor will not count as a qualifying sub? I'll have to call in again for further clarification.

A lifetime sub is no different than any other paid subscription. Lifetime subs always have and always will qualify other Tivos for MSD. But now that only new subs qualify for MSD, you'll have to cancel your current subscriptions when their year is up and resubscribe to get the MSD rate.
