quarterlife - entire series/season thread **SPOILERS**
Thought I'd make this an entire series thread since it looks like NBC has FOXed it and is exiling any remaining episodes to Bravo.
I thought it was pretty good, I would have been interested to see how the characters developed. I think the main problem with this show is that it wasn't/isn't a fit for NBC and should have been on CW, MTV, or just stayed online and built a larger audience.
The style was similar to Friday Night Lights, I think it would have done better in that timeslot or paired with it.
I was resigned to the show not doing well ratingswise given that the creators also created My So Called Life.

I didn't like it at all. Not even a little.

It wasn't as boring as Lipstick Jungle, but still boring.
And hard to follow.

Isn't this just MySpace webisodes repackaged as desperation programming because of the strike? Now that the strike is over, maybe NBC just isn't as desperate any more...

My daughter was going to watch the next one last night and said this morning that it had already been canceled. She was bummed.

I couldn't get through the first episode after I asked myself. If I met these people in real life would I care what happened to them? Nope.

Going back to the "Thirtysomething" days, Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz have had a mystical power over most of the world's copy editors, making them forget about the "proper nouns begin with a capital letter" rule.
Fortunately, I'm immune: the title may be rendered as "quarterlife" on-screen, but it should always be "Quarterlife" in print.

Given the apathy, I can understand why it only got 3.4 million viewers. Ouch.

What specifically did you love? I couldn't even find anything to LIKE about it.

For those that actually do want to see this, the whole 6-hours are being run in a marathon on Bravo someday very soon (I think it was the 9th).

I can't say I "love" it, but I sure did enjoy the pilot. And I was really expecting crap after reading this thread regarding the blog-style of the show. It's nothing like that, and the characters, by the end of the first hour, were all pretty endearing in some way, too.

I thought it was ok. Enough to keep watching. I'll probably record the marathon for a rainy day.

The characters feel like real people. They have depth and complexity unlike most shows on tv. I could relate to the characters problems, the situations felt closer to my life than most shows on tv.
