Question New Tivo Model

Is it true that " TIVO" now makes a receiver that can be used with DTV ?

Nope! At least not one that directly tunes and records the satellite channels.

SD standalone TiVo's could be used behind an SD DirecTV STB, but that cannot be done with either the S3 or the TiVo HD, since there is no compatible tuner output to TiVo input combination capable of passing HDTV signals.

Technically speaking... they never stopped..
Their SA Recorders, that accept analog inputs.. can be used with DirecTV receiver boxes as the source..

But as for a new integrated unit... no, they are not building one.
