Motorola DCT3416 I with TiVo software?

Can anyone tell me how I can get TiVo software for this DVR? Having used the HR10-250 and switching to Comcast a couple of weeks ago, I'd sure love to have the TiVo features (even though I have a TiVo HD on order....
Thanks in advance,
Bobbie

Bobbie -- where are you located?

As of now, Comcast is only distributing the TiVo software in limited markets in the Northeast.

If Comcast is available in your area, I would think a phone call to Comcast would get them set up to schedule an installation for you. The Comcast Web site also will say if TiVo software is yet available in your area.

Thank you for the answer, JphnnyO. I am in the south San Francisco Bay Area. I used the link to register my email. Again, thanks.

The sad thing is, if you talk to someone in your local Comcast Office, you will find them clueless regarding TiVo. They only have heard rumors of advanced capabilities for their DVRs but can't discuss TiVo.

The other sad thing is that you won't get full TiVo service, but rather TiVo software GUI on the Comcast Motorola (and possibly other mfrs) DVR boxes.
