just got my HD DVR

I just got my HR21 installed today with the new dish. Picture quality is great on the tru HD channels. Have not read thru all the instructions yet. I find the guide takes some getting used to from the Tivo one I had. I liked how you could scroll thru the list on one channel way ahead vs moving the cursor over now. It was easier to read before. I had a question on recording. My wife is a big Duke basketball fan. With the Tivo you could set it up to record all the games. I dont see this option now. Can it be done? When I search for Duke it only pulls up todays games. Maybe I need to get the guide data further a long. Second I see there is a way to put your IP address in the network setting. Can you stream photos then and music from computer.
Lastly is there a quick way to only show the HD channels when changing channels on remote vs getting both the SD version then the HD version. Like I get CBS HD and then CBS SD. Its like going thru double the channels.

This might help:
Tivo to HR20 Survival Guide

Most everything is the same between the HR20 and 21.

Yes, it's called Media Share. You can stream music and photos (video soon if it hasn't been pushed into the last national release, I can't remember).

You should be able to hide all SD channels. Go to Setup -> Display -> Guide HD Channels: Hide SD Duplicates

Thanks for the replies. I have the HR21 so dont know if it is similar to HR20. Also i notice you cant switch between tuners by pressing the down arrow button on the remote. Was this function removed?

Nope. It wasn't removed. It was never added.

Dual Live Buffers are one of the biggest requests out there for the HR2x line. Check out dbstalk.com and go over to the HR20/HR21 forum for more info.

The HR20/21 doesn't have dual live buffers if that is what you mean.

The work around is to record the two shows and flip between the recordings (it actually works a lot better than it sounds). Plus you don't have to worry about losing the buffer accidentally.

In summary: it can record two input signals simultaneously but is only capable of outputing ONE signal at a time either from a live stream or a recording.
