Just a few quick, hopefully not stupid, questions about the new TiVo HD.

I am finally enbracing the fact that I'm not going to get HD, TiVo, and DirecTV to work together, so it looks like I'm going to switch to Comcast.

Before I do so and spend all the money, I just had some general questions about the TiVo HD.


1. The TiVo can send everything that I am watching regaurdless of if it's OTA HD, cable HD, cable digital, or analog to the TV through the HDMI connection right? I would sure hope I wouldn't need to change the TV input depending on what channel I'm watching.

2. Do the new TiVo HD units have muli-room veiwing active yet? If not, do they have a timeframe? For that matter, are there any other features that I should expect not to work?

3. How exactly is an external hard-drive connected? I mean the physical connection.

1) Yes
2) Yes MRV works, as does TTG, Not sure about any other features that worked on old units that are not fuctional on the HD units.
3) The external hard drive is connected via E-SATA. You can only use the Western Digital My DVR Expander drive with the TiVo HD.
