My apologies if this is not an allowed topic, but I've seen other threads that deal with similar issues that seem to fall into a grey zone...so I'm hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction. If not, please feel free to delete this thread.
I've been using Azureus/Vuze to download things (licensed content direct from the client) and converting it using VisualHub and then transferring to the TiVo. Today I finally downloaded a BBC show that I've been wanting to check out, but VisualHub seems to lock up on converting it (gets to 2 minutes remaining and just keeps plugging away at it).
I assume that this is a DRMd WMV file (Vuze says that it can only play on Windows XP/Vista). Is there an easy way to convert this file to one that I can transfer to TiVo? I've got no desire to try and watch a show on a laptop with crummy speakers.
