tivo and comcast digital cable

just got comcast digital cable...i have a tivo box also....my question is can i use the guided setup on the tivo box without a phone line?? can i use my broadband connection instead...??

any help appreciated

ir blaster is the issue at hand.....cannot get a basic signal in when tivo is turned on with livetv

Yes, you don't need to have your box hooked up to a phone line. I have comcast with cable cards, a tivo HD and used the wireless network connection to set up my tivo
