Tivo connection problems?? Please Help!

I have had Starband satellite internet service for a year now and have not been able to connect to my Tivo series 2 at all. It used to get to the download screen and then would get "Connection Interrupted" after about 17 seconds. After some recent Tivo software upgrades (borrowed brother-in-laws phone) it now only gets to "Account Status" and says it can't get it, error N15. It should be noted that I CAN connect through a friend's Wildblue satellite connection so...I assume the problem is with my Starband ISP. I noticed on this support page, it shows all the ports that need to be open and the I.P. addresses that need to be open. Starband support says that the Tivo ports that I gave them are not blocked and also the I.P. addresses 204.176.49.0 thru 204.176.49.127 and 206.112.115.0 thru 206.112.115.255 are not blocked. However, when I try to ping the I.P. address above, there are a lot of them that I cannot ping. Does anyone know what else I can do to help with this trouble shooting? It seems that Starband support is really flaky...I never seem to be able to talk to the same person twice...so, I'm pretty sure I'll have to do most of the leg work. I tried a program that I downloaded to ping all those I.P.s (NetPing) but I really couldn't tell which ones I could ping and which ones I couldn't! When I use CMD, I can tell for sure which ones I can ping but it would take a long, long time to ping each one individually! Any suggestions would be welcome!

p.s. I was planning on switching to Wildblue but decided it wasn't such a good idea.

I have StarBand as well and experiencing the exact issue you have described. Were you ever able to do anything to get the updates working?
