Reaper 11/27/2007 (S01E09) "Ashes to Ashes"

<snap>

It would be a funny twist to have Katie be the devil's daughter... Andi was just getting annoying.

Reaper seems to have put its early-season struggles behind it. The last month of episodes have been really strong. In its own way it's getting to be one of the best shows on TV, I think.

I continue to really like how they make sure Sam (and the rest of us) understands that the Devil really is a bad guy. It would be easy to paint him as just this avuncular figure, but they've really been layering in the menace lately. Sewing Sam's lips shut was wicked.

Yes, I like that they are making no bones about it. He is an evil being.

I love how Sam always calls him an a-hole. It must be really satisfying to be able to tell Satan to his face that he's an a-hole! Not that I believe in Satan but still.

Not that it matters, but the Devil's Spawn girl's name is spelled "Cady". She's awesome, of course. Completely unrealistic--especially that she's still single. But whatever. Probably the Devil made her do it

Seconded. I don't like Andi at all, devil spawn on the other hand I already like more than her.

While I've liked Andi, I agree wholeheartedly. Cady's awesome, more so than Andi.

I don't see why it makes a difference whether Mimi moves or not. The Devil went down to Georgia, I'm pretty sure he can get to New Mexico without too much effort if he really wants to.

Cady is a cutie, but if she was serious about fighting over a copy of Highlander II: The Quickening, her geek cred is suspect.

Hey, if her taste is that bad, I should look her up!

Cady's Mom was hot. I thought she was a low 30-something, nowhere near old enough to have a daughter Sam's age.

Andi's nose looks like it came from a Mr. Potato Head. I could be wrong, but it screams "nose job" to me.

IRL Mom is 38, Cady is 21.

Which would make her conception quite within the realm of possibility, although it would constitute statutary rape.

Do you think the devil would worry about that?

(By the way, Mom was Lady Heather on CSI. THAT'S where I knew her from!)

I actually enjoy Carpoolers.

This episode seemed too dark for me. I didn't enjoy them taking the ashes of loved ones and replacing them with cement mix.

As do I, I just thought I was setting myself up for an insult.

But seriously, names? There we have Grayson, Laird, Marmaduke(!)? Here we have Andi, Sock and Cady? I know Sock is a nickname, but would it have killed anyone if the daughter of the devil was just plain old Katie? (or Lucy (AS fans, where you at?))

I mainly remember her for her role as Julie in Return Of The Living Dead 3 (1993).
