Is the Western Digital "My DVR Expander" the ONLY external hard drive that will work with the Tivo Series 3 machines? I have two Apricorn DVR Xpanders but my two Series 3 machines with the 9.2 software will not recognize these external hard drives.
Just tonight as I was sitting down to watch TV both Series 3 units asked me if I wanted to activate the "unsupported external storage device that had been detected". I followed the Tivo onscreen instructions and both Apricron DVR Xpanders are now online and working great. My system info says that I have 98 hours of high def storage on each machine.
