CSI: Crime Scene Investigation 11/15/2007 (S0807) "Goodbye and Good Luck"
I figured at least Sara's last (regular?) episode would have generated some discussion right now. Thoughts, anyone?
I was never bothered by Sara's character as much as others in the forums here. She clearly had some baggage and wasn't able to shut off to the daily horrors she saw like other CSIs can. I'm a bit puzzled what the ultimate point of the Sara/Grissom relationship was. They never really explored it in depth, she didn't give him a chance to be there for her in the end, and they dropped the whole engagement storyline as soon as it started.
And I think the little girl was faking her breakdown in the end. She's way too smart to not have seen it coming (heck, I did).

it's not her character i hated, it's the actress, or acting, whichever. just couldn't stand it. didn't shed a tear at the goodbye. but i do agree that the whole relationship thing was weird. just seemed to be kinda thrown in there but no real reason behind it, with the exception of her kidnapping series of events.

Sometimes relationships sorta don't really go anywhere or mean much in the end.
I didn't particular mind Sara's character, but I think I'm happy she's gone. That leaves room for a new character to come in with less risk of displacing another character I actually like.

My wife & I are glad to see Sara go. I don't know what it is, but we never did like her character. I can't say that I have ever disliked a character as much as here. And the bad thing is, she wasn't one of those intentionally dislikable characters.
Oh well, on the better characters.

I never liked her either. The "not being able to leave it behind" seems like a new thing to me, not something consistent over the years.
I had expected her to leave by marrying Grissom and moving to a new job.
At least she got a better exit than her ER one where she was "Maggie Doyle'd" For a while being Maggie Doyle'd meant disappearing from a show with no explanation, she of course was Maggie Doyle

As long as the new character coming in isn't Ronnie Lake.. I've already taken a dislike to her, far too cute and perky for me, at least Sara moped and was grumpy..

I'm pretty sure she is, given the timing of her introduction and the face-time she's getting...
I also suspect there will be some conflict between her personality and her job, resulting perhaps in an adjustment to the former.

If they can "de-perk" her, I might be able to cope

Seeing Sarah go is not really a big deal, BUT....Did anyone feel that how she was acting was normal. What I mean is she is trying to stop this psyco bitch little girl from killing again and everyone around her is ho-hum.
She is jumping up and down on her crusade and everyone (including GRISOM) think she may be a little to close to the subject.
Heck I am thinking the whole time, WHY is no one else wanting this psyco girl behind bars as bad as Sarah.
I think on any other show (WITHOUT A TRACE) she would fit right in with her drive to see the bad guy get what is coming.
Oh well. It was a strange plot line anyway. I am glad its over.

the plot towards her leaving seemed a tad forced. Why not leave her die under the car

I am not sorry to see her go, either. Never really liked her... I did feel sorry for Grissom, though.

Crushed by car would have been a better ending. Then you could feel sorry for her. Now I'm just thinkign, "What a dweeb". So full of herself, even in grief you should be able to reach out to somebody...Hello? How about the man you supposedly love?
