File size limitation in Tivo Desktop 2.5.1?

I have been trying to transfer an HD episode of Chuck from my Series 3that is 6442 Mb. It is not marked as copy protected, but I have tried the transfer 3 times, and it always gets "interrupted" at 4096 Mb - precisely 4Gb. That can't be a coincidence.

Is there a file size limit?

Has anyone else seen this?

That sounds like an OS file size limitation. IIRC, the file size limit for the FAT32 file system is 4GB. If that's the file system you are using, then you'll need to switch to NTFS on Windows. If you are on a Mac, i don't know if there are any such limitations on OS X.

You can convert from FAT32 to NTFS in Windows using a command prompt

Start->Run->cmd->convert C: /FS:NTFS

If it were 2GB then it might be anti-virus related

I have transfered 16GB files no problem, sounds like you got hit with a FAT32 limitation. Convert to NTFS.
