My present setup. 3 Tivo's (SD-400, 540 and DT). SD-400 and 540 hooked to 2 TV's in the basement and the DT hooked to our Panny Plasma in the family room. Everything is wired. Moto cable box hooked to the DT.
Tivo's are supplied by a 4 output ElectorLine amp. The 4th amp output goes directly into the Panny.
On Nov 12th our local (small) cable company is starting to provide HD (total of 12 channels to start). I have volunteered to be a "test site" for them (3 months free svc). They are going to provide me with their Moto HD DVR and possibly a separate cable card for the TV as well. I don't yet know the make or type of the cable cards (S or M or who makes them).
If things work out well, I plan on getting rid of the 540 and SD-400 and purchase a Tivo HD.
Presently we are able to switch to the TV input if we are recording 2 programs on the DT.
My big concern about going with the Tivo HD is the ElectroLine amp. and hooking a Tivo HD up to it. Is the Tivo HD any more sensitive to it's input than say the DT??
