Wierd, green, scrambled picture

I have a Series 2, dual tuner Tivo. I've had it for about 45 days. It also runs through a Time Warner cable box. Starting today, when I change to a channel that's only available on the cable box (digital channels 100-999) as opposed to channels that are available from basic cable (2-99), the picture becomes very scrambled with a green tint.

When I unplug the power from the Tivo, wait a couple of minutes, then plug it back in, the picture on channel's 2-99 are back to normal. If I change to channels 100-999, the same stuff happens again.

Anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this?

I have this same problem, using time warner also. I haven't found a way to fix it, I just go to the now playing list them back to live TV and that usually takes care of it. But I've also had to leave it alone for an hour or so and that fixed it too

I've got this problem too. It first showed up after the recent (last week) software update on the Tivo. It appeared right after the first reboot. In 4 reboots since then it has shown up once again.

Each time switching to Now Playing and back solves the problem.
Recordings are not impacted... this is an output only problem.

Annoying but not feature breaking (at least to me).

S2DT - ABout 30 days out of the box.

I'm getting this, too. I haven't tried the fix on my home computer yet. I actually powered down the TiVo and brought it back up, but then after a few minutes the scrambled picture was a problem again.

Out of the box about 45 days, started happening last week. Have friend in same boat. We are on Comcast in Atlanta. Have been restarting unit, will try switching back and forth.

I have 2 Series 2 DT units. Both units are exhibiting this issue. Pressing the Tivo button and then hitting Live TV fixes the problem. It does not show up on any of the recordings, just the output feeding the TV.

same w/FiOS

Same issue on my S2DT being fed by FiOS HD STB. Hitting Tivo button or going to Now Playing and back to Live TV cleared the 'green slime' each time. Thank goodness its an output only phenom.

yeah, it was pretty nice to get back home and see all my recordings intact. I was really nervous for a minute, there. I think I'm still on my 30 day trial, but I really couldn't go back to no TiVo. I'd die!!!

I have this issue, but I have it when I am viewing a transferred show from my Series 2 DT to my 80 hour Single tuner Series 2.

The way I found that I could clear it was to let it run about 15-20 seconds and then hit the rewind button. Once I did that, it corrected itself and the green was gone.

Seems to happen consistently when I MRV. I haven't tried pulling anything from the TiVoHD.

Sadly it seems to be a known issue, irritating to say the least. Happened to 1 Tivo 4x in a day, another only twice.

Yes, this is a known bug for the S2DT which we're now rolling out a software update.

An Instant Replay or two will resolve the issue without the need for a restart if you encounter this before receiving the software.
