Big Bang Theory - 10/8

All I know is I've actually been the guy in the raid who can't believe the wizard just teleported away with the loot. I also know that guy who "bought it now".

I enjoyed it, though real geeks wouldn't have needed to gather together in person to do what they did... well, except for when the "internet was down."

I must be alone. I have found this show hilarious from the beginning, and still do.

i don't think this show is very funny at all... but for some reason, i continue to watch it, and even look forward to it?! maybe it's because of penny... anyway, the scene in the lab with leonard and darlene was absolutely terrible.

I was waiting for Roseanne to walk in.. hehe

Or one of the Beckys...

Anyway... I think the show is just OK. But it's way better than "Back to you"...

It will have to hold me over until Christine comes back.

But real geeks love doing this. LAN parties.

I know someone who does it all the time.

(And no, it's not me. I'm not into that stuff. My real geekiness expresses itself in different ways!)

I loved the begining because I have been there. Being on a long raid only to have some one ninja loot and leave. While not as good as the first few episodes I thought it was solid.

It was nice to see the workplace. I think they need some more characters in this. But I love the scenes with the 4 geeks. Hilarious.

I like it and it is funny and all but I keep thinking that they gave us this instead of bringing back the Class which was actually going somewhere.

Not alone, me and the wife were watching together last night and both of us were laughing our butts off. I really like he show. Sara Gilbert was great to see on TV.

I just have a big problem with boy chases girl being the major plot point of a show. Because either it gets annoying real quick with the chasing and failing or they get together and then what...

They get married, swap apartments, introduce babies, et. al. I hear it can sustain a full decade of episodes, at least.

Made it throw our third episode...the Mrs is at the point of ignoring it and reading a magazine...I'm trying my best to find the humor in it...still no out loud laughing as of yet...this ep was better than the other two...it did actually offer me the chance for one chuckle...

I guess you have to be a total nerd/geek to get into the show though and find what they say/do "hilarious".....

I really love the opening song; it reminds me of some group I can't quite identify yet, but it's gonna bother me until I figure it out.

I think this is what I love about the show. They got geeks down pretty well. Just like the Superman explanation last week...

The opening reminds of They Might be Giants but it's not them.

That's who created the theme song for the show, yes... but I'm thinking there's some group back in the 80's that had a similar lyrical style they're emulating with that theme song, and not remembering it is what's bothering me.

Ta da. Thanks, that's what was bothering me!

And great, now you made me think of Malcolm in the Middle... I really miss that show.

Do I betray my age by saying that a few times I took my mom's SE over to someone else's house to play Armor Alley multi-player? (and this was actually several years after I got into computers..)

I loved seeing Sara again, and she really nailed the character, it was perfect, and the whole mating ritual, I was howling.

"shall I countdown? no, it should be spontaneous"
I'm so glad she's signed on for a few episodes.

I find it very interesting that this has turned into a serious love/hate relationship with the show, I think every thread has folks like me loving it, and others hating it with a passion, very few folks saying "eh, twas ok"

I like the show and all its geekiness, but I do agree that the Class was a much better show and should have been brought back.

I mentioned this in the "shows getting deleted thread". I just don't buy the main dude (from Roseanne) as a geeky guy. Everything else works but he just can't pull it off. If it was just the other three dudes I'd like it much better.

I didn't watch Rosanne so I didn't recognize him from there, and to me he comes off as a complete geek.

This show isn't particularly funny or interesting, but I LOVE HIMYM so I have nothing else to record in this timeslot anyway so I am being more generous with recording it than I would with other shows. It's "OK" and I do like Penny. I do hope it improves.
