I recently had to re-hack my tivo from a backup file when the (first) hacked 120GB HDD failed in the unit (thank goodness for backups). My unit is an first gen Phillips Tivo SA and I've added a cachecard from 9th tee. I used their NIC_Install CD to get the cachecard enabled.
I went through the Hinsdale instructions and the MFSTools boot CD to restore my original Tivo A drive and expand it on a new 160GB HDD. I've also hacked in using Jenkin's stuff, so I have Joe, etc. working...
Telnet works, FTP doesn't (it hangs at "Connected to <IP address of Tivo>" and goes no further - if I wait long enough it will go to "Remote Connection closed by host". FTP worked the first time I performed the upgrade and ran on the 120GB HDD.
Any ideas on how to get FTP to work?
