I'm an idiot (TiVo Rewards Expiration)

I had 15K rewards points saved up that I thought expired this month. They expired last month. No slippers for me

Let this be a warning to you all. Pay attention to your expiry dates.

Big Grin Thanks for the heads up!

I have 11,000 points, 1000 of which expire at the end of this month. I guess I should use 10,000 pts to get either an iPod Shuffle or a TiVo wireless adapter. I don't need, and probably will not use, either, but could sell the reward on eBay or give as a gift. Which would you all pick?

I agree, if you don't like 'em, you have plenty of friends or family who do. And if you have one, a 2nd might make sense for specific content -- say, podcasts for example. Just like why you might want a 2nd tivo...

You can call TiVo Reward right now and work it out. Just don't give up.

Part of me knows I could do this. The other part of me knows that I deserve what I get for procrastinating. On the gripping hand, if I get 10 sets of TiVo ornaments with my points that'll be 50 units of evangelism I can spread around...

I was in the same boat, so I got the iPod Shuffle and then proceeded to sell it on Ebay

What are the odds of the TiVo HD showing up before 9/30?

No argument there.

You need a better calendar, perhaps get yourself a PDA or Blackberry - or find out if your phone can remind you.

To continue the idiocy. My TiVo Rewards statement for August just came in the E-Mail. They claim I have 10000 pts. I do not, but they made me look.

I've been gettig this statements for a long time now. Every single of them says 0 points. I should just unenroll in the program because everybody I've ever talked to about TiVo remains unconvinced and doesn't want one, and it doesn't look like I'll ever convince anybody to buy one.

Maybe I'm a bigger idiot cause I don't know what Tivo Rewards points are. Is that something you get for convincing someone else to buy Tivo?

My first bunch were going to expire a while ago...so for 15K I got the shuffle.
Now it is 19K.
I had another 5 about to go and a friend was in need of the wireless adapter..so there goes another 10.
I was saving for the 140 hour unit originally which was 25K...but I never had 25K at one time...the expiry date needs to be expanded.

points for remote???

Anyone have enough points that are going to expire soon to get the new black glossy remote? It’s 7500 points; I’m short and won't get enough points any time soon to get it. If someone would order it, I’ll be happy to buy it from you once you get it... PM me to work out the details...thanks.

Huh.

Meanwhile I have had 20 referrals credited to me since the program started, and convinced a bunch more people to buy TiVos before the program started.

You're doing it wrong, Tim.

You don't have the right friends.

I'm off to check my points to see what I can get.

Ooooh, fuzzy slippers.
