Call interrupted

I have just installed a Series 2 Dual Tuner and am having problems connecting to download program info. I keep getting the error message "Call interrupted." I have DSL, have the filter put on, have tried all the dial-in numbers, tried unplugging the unit, used a new phone line. I had no problems with my Series 1 and it was on the same phone line. Any advice would be welcome.

If you have DSL, can't you connect via IP? Your new DT will have a few things to download like programming and possibly a new OS.

My DSL modem where my computer is is on another floor. Can I just get a duplicate DSL modem?

You can only have one DSL modem per DSL line, but if you've got DSL, you should also have some kind of router. If the router is nowhere near the TiVo you might consider wireless.

My Series 1 worked fine with it so I'm not sure why it's not working.
