transferring shows while recording

Is there a way to transfer shows from one tivo to another while it is recording? If someone knows please help me with this. thanks.

Via a network? The answer is the same as the message that your Tivo gave you when you attempted to transfer a recording still in progress - no, you can't do that.

You could wire up the Tivos for real time recording i.e. record a program on one Tivo as it plays on the other Tivo.

There is nol way to do that. If you are not sure which TiVo you will watch an in progress show on then easiest is to record it on both
