Snow at Tivo Central

Just hooked up my Series 3 to my new LCD and each of the menus I go to has this light snow going on and off at all times. It's happening only on the HDMI out. I had a spare HDMI cable and swapped it out but the problem is still there and I also tried a different HDMI input and that didn't help either. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Does your TV have an HDMI input, or are you using HDMI/DVI?

Sounds like an HDMI handshake issue.

1) Set the video output on the Tivo to fixed 1080i (or 720p) and see if it goes away.

2) Try component and see if it goes away.

Well, all it did was isolate the problem. It's your TV, and the synching when switching output formats.

I'd probably stick with the resolution that mostly closely matches your TV's native resolution.
