Cool Poor signal after using DVD player

Everything is hooked up correctly according to the guide and I was receiving a very good signal and picture with Tivo. I then used my dvd player and afterwards I got a black and white picture with one tuner and a grainy picture with the other. I restarted Tivo and this corrected the problem until I watched another DVD. Tivo went back to the poor signal and restarting does not help now.
Anyone have a clue as to what is going on and how I can fix this?

Welcome to TivoCommunity!

It would help to know how you've connected your DVD Player and your Tivo to your TV. Your DVD Player really shouldn't affect your Tivo at all.

The picture going to B&W indicates that you have it connected to the TV using s-video. Unplug both ends of the s-video cable and reconnect to see if that helps.

Yeah until there's more info, I'd be inclined to think that if the DVD-player is also on s-video, the TV somehow gets messed up when switching between s-video signals... who knows.
