As this is not strictly a scheduling
error I thought I'd start a seperate thread as I know some people subscribe to the Errors thread and would probably not be happy with my clogging it up with this post. Besides which, it may cause some discussion
From Monday May 21st, FiveLife will be showing two daily episodes of OLD "Home & Away"; from
2000.
Unfortunately, this has caused one or two problems with the listings.
Easiest issue first then...
While the 10am episodes are called "Home & Away : The Early Years" the 10:30am episodes are not; being referred to as simply "Home & Away".
Second issue, the OADs...
These are set as the date of the broadcast
this time around; ie 21/05/07 for the episode on, well, 21/05/07. This will, of course, make recording the
brand new episodes only (Mon-Fri, 6:30pm) impossible. Now of course, people could simply record it off the main channel @ 6pm but that kinda defeats the purpose of having them on FiveLife at all, doesn't it!
Finally, no matter which way round I set the SP (and I
did test this before I typed this!) both the 6:30pm FiveLife "first look" episodes and the same eps shown the following day @ 6pm on Five were both being set to record.
Incidently, the previously-mentioned (I think!) problem of different ep descriptions for the same
actual episodes on FiveLife and Five, has not been addressed.
The only solution that I can think of (as the FRO issue is the most important) would be to give
all the old eps the same title - "Home & Away : The Early Years" and create a seperate TMSID for them.
Edit: I've also just noticed that the "Orphaned SP's" TW module isn't listing "Home & Away: The Early Years" as a possible 'title search match'. This is even more odd considering that
anything starting with the word "House" is being listed as a possible match to the Five series of the same name.
All-in-all I'm rather
