First, welcome to the forum! You've come to the right place.
I don't recognize the problem but here's some detective work you can do --assuming you are running Windows XP:
Click Start then Right-click My Computer and select Manage. Under System Tools, go to Event viewer and open the Application item. In the list of events look for warning or error events that occurred when you got the error message. Double click the event line and you will get details that might give you a clue as to what is happening. Do this in the System and Security folders also. If there are no warning or error events at the correct times, there might even be a Info event that you can identify as related to the problem.
