I can record 2 OTA HD shows at the same time? wow!
I'm a new HR10-250 user and I had no idea that I could record 2 OTA HD programs at the same time. I don't know how it does it, but it sure is cool. I guess I had just assumed that the OTA counted as 1 tuner and could only do 1 thing.
I'm very excited!

It has two OTA tuners inside, fed from the one input with a built in splitter.

The catch about the two OTA tuners is that they're sort of slaved to the satellite tuners. I had an S1 and a first-generation DTV box that I replaced with an HR10-250 via eBay, and with a foot of snow on the roof it was several weeks until I had a second line for the satellite receivers. Without the second line for the sat, the second OTA tuner wouldn't record either.
I tried telling it the second line was active, and it would occasionally try to record things there, annoyingly.
All is well now: Nice Winegard antenna on the roof, next to the 5-sat-capable dish, two of which my TiVo can't see.
