Why I love my TiVo Series 3

I think I could list hundred of reasons I love my TiVo S3, especially because after using an Series 2 for years, I had to use a Hi-Def Cable company box (SA8300HD) without the TiVo software for 10 months, until I was rescued when I got my TiVo Series 3.

Sure I've had some problems, but I think if I couldn't have the TiVo software, I would likely stop watching TV, seriously.

So why am I starting this thread. It could be deceptively negative reading these forums, but just now I was setting my TiVo to record an upcoming show. The latest TiVo update, my TiVo reminded me that it was going to be a live event, and asked if I wanted to set it to record longer in case it runs over. WOW, another great feature. I love TiVo, lets count the ways.

TiVo S2
TiVo S3 750 Gig, 90 hours HD, 900 Hours SD, man oh man, what a Now Playing List we have!!! When me and my honey sit down together to watch TV, we can always find something that interests us both, and at the time we want.

Mine's been working pretty good. My favorite thing about it is the superb quality and low disk space consumption I get with non-HD digital channels. I blows the pants off the DTiVos I was using before. Having access to digital OTA is great too.

its cool when it works, but i lose channels constantly and the thing cant work without some other issue coming up. If I did not have lifetime not sure I would be so patient. It is a great box, but those just bug me.

I went two years using that pos SA 8300. I understand exactly what you mean. And I'm happy to report I have no problems with my S3 right now, it's working completely up to all it is capable of at this point.

One thing about problem threads. Many times those threads get started like the "the more I read these threads makes me glad I didn't buy an S3" or something like that and you go through it and the last few pages are nothing but people talking about how much they love the S3.

No doubt, the S3 rocks. I love it.

Have not gone to HD or digital cable yet but thought I would chime in with how much I love my S2 DT TiVo DVRs. They are rock solid and give me a home network of TV shows to watch abywhere

Looking forward to moving on to TiVo HD by the end of this year

I totally agree. I have had no issues whatsoever with my S3, especially now that it has the 8.1 update with the deleted folder.

My only wish is for TivoToGo, but that is not the fault of Tivo..

I love my S3 :-) Yeah Tivo!

S3 rocks and is so much fun

TiVoToGo? Sure, I want that, but I'm more looking forward to the other way around... getting video onto my S3. Then I won't have to go buy an AppleTV :b~

It's simple for me. I love it because it works. It just does what its supposed to do - record TV. And it does so reliably.

Superior OTA tuners, Kidszone, Deleted Folder, and Unbox (great concept at least)are all "icing" that make the experience that much better.

Oh don't forget the WAF. That's what really puts it way up on top!
