Record Light

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but being I don't sleep much, I have noticed that each night around 4am, the Record Light comes on with Both of my Tivo and Humax Units. The Power Lights stay out, (If you leave it on Standby) and nothing is being Recorded or even sent into my Units by Tivo, but the Lights go on each morning?? I was going Nuts the 1st time I noticed it, trying to figure why. They stay on for about 1/2 Hour, then Both go out at the same time.
Would anyone know a reason why this happens?? It makes no sense to me.

How do you know nothing is recording? It probably is recording something, probably the Teleworld broadcast, which is essentially all the yellow star video content.

The unit is recording the Showcase content to a reserved section of the hard drive for this purpose.

From live TV > Hit the TiVo button > then the number 4 > click right once > type in T-e-l-e-w-o-r-l-d and then > view upcoming episodes. You will notice that these are listed to record and you never asked it too do that.

These are the recordings that TiVo uses to show you new and exciting (in their mind) things. The time on all of my recordings is between 4am and 6am. If it really bothers you then delete all of the upcoming recordings. My opinion: leave them alone if you have only one TiVo. If you have 2 or more then delete the one that is bothering you.

Many many people many many years ago.
I also wouldn't doubt that it's covered in the manual.

Not on mine...I can find them, but they're not set to record.

Look again - you will not see a check mark but if you look inside of them you will see something that says it will be recorded.

It's in smaller writing and it will not have a check mark by it.
