Samsung SMT 2110C - Channel changing

I get my TV thru Virgin Media who have now changed my STB to a Samsung SMT 2110 C, which is not listed. I am using the default codes (20045) for other Samsungs, but am having a problem.
If I use the up/down channel button the STB changes channel, no problem, but when I punch in a channel number or when TIVO tries to change channel, its VERY hit and miss.

I have VERY carefully aligned the IR Blaster with the sensor.

Any suggestions??

Channel up/down and typing in numbers should make no difference. Either way, the tivo sends the full channel number to the cable box. Try a slower version of the code, or build a tent around the IR receiver to keep stray signals out and desired signals in.

I think there are a couple of threads regarding the Samsung Virgin/Ntl box in the Tivo Uk forum (a few subforums down from this one on the main forum listing menu) but as ZikZak has said it may require a tent or even a request for a new model from VM
