unable to see contents of drive with MFSlive

I have an HDR612 with S/W 3.0 that I put 2 200 G hard drives in using MFS tools. I am showing 354 hours standard quality recording time. I did this so long ago, I don't remember how I did it. Recently, I wanted to add an IR code to change channels on another tuner that Tivo does not support. I tried to boot with MFSlive, got to #\ entered the commands as shown in the steve jenkins how-to, but cannot see the contents of the mnt7 partition. Jenkins says to use 1s -1 and that should show all directories on the partition. When I do that, I get command invalid or something like that and no further info. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong? All drives are recognized. I have tivo a as IDE 2 master, CD as IDE 2 slave, Windows fat32 as IDE 1 Master. I did not connect Tivo B. I am a relative Noob, but with some guidance from this forum, I think I can be successful.

You have to boot with option 2 (byte swap enabled) since it's series 1 and you want to mount ext2 partition.

1. find active root partition

bootpage -p /dev/hdc

2. mount active root partition

if it says 7

mount /dev/hdc7 /tivo

if it say 4

mount /dev/hdc4 /tivo

3. cd /tivo

ls -al

(l is a lower case latter l not number 1)

Thanks, I am at work now, but will try when I get home. Another thought, can the full size of the drives be used now?

Thanks spike2k5, I got to the point where I would copy my files to the hack dir, but I could not change the cd media. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to get my files off the cd and into the tivo. I appreciate any help I receive and aplogize for the NOOB questions. I think the best way to learn, is to ask someone who really knows what they're doing.
