Need help transferring program

I am new to this site and am needing help. Have a Direct/TIVO HD unit and have a program saved on this recorder. I am wanting to transfer just a part of this program to either a DVD or computer so that I can make a photograph out of a particular scene in the program. Is this possible and if so, how do I do it?

Capture device on your PC or DVD recorder. Either will allow you to import the video into your PC where you can grab a frame. Even the software for my tuner/capture card lets me take snaps of the received video.
