Arrow TiVo doesn't work on Cox!

Unfortunately TiVo does not work with Cox cable TV. We replaced the IR cable, we received and set up a replacement TiVo and we still have had no luck getting Tivo to work with Cox’s Scientific Atlanta models 2200 or 3100. After hours with Tivo's support folks, we get it to work on Scientific Atlanta’s model 3250 for at most a day and then TiVo does not recognize any of our premium channels and channels 2-9 - - the screen just goes grey

Do yourself the favor and get the s3 tivo in hd. I have cox and it only needs the cable cards in the back and I recieve all my channels just fine. With the s3 box you do not need a seperate cable box, the tivo acts as it.

You haven't said what type of TiVo you're using.

Also, a TiVo using a cable box and controling it by InfraRed blaster/emitter won't have trouble getting a picture on any channel the cable box is tuned to.

It can't happen.

The TiVo, getting the cable box's output by either an RF line (as channel 3 or 4), or by audio/video feeds, doesn't know what channel the box is set to.

Try changing the cable box channels without using the TiVo's remote.

See if it still has a problem getting those channels.

Then put the cable box back where it was to begin with, so it matches the channel the TiVo "thinks" it's tuned to.

The TiVo not getting certain channels is possibly due to it not being set up correctly.

Have you checked your list of "channels I receive"? Are the ones you're having a problem with checked? Not checked?

Have you correctly identified your provider? Is the channel lineup correct?

Have you tried the experiment of feeding the cable directly into the TiVo without the cable box, setting the TiVo to work without a box, and seeing if the missing channels are there?

There's a lot about this that you haven't told us. Your type of TiVo, EXACTLY what steps you've taken, etc.
