Doctor Who "Fear Her" US Air 12/15/06 SciFi *spoilers*

A cool episode, we learn several things...

- The Doctor doesn't mind being seen by the masses.
- The BBC will be using the same graphics package six years from now!

Anyway, just for TiVoCommunity users, I posted the original trailer for this episode on YouTube. I think SciFi does a disservice by not airing the "next time" previews in the same way they did on the BBC.

Here's the one that aired at the end of "Love and Monsters" for "Fear Her"

And, if you are someone who normally watches the previews, here's the one from "Fear Her" to next week's "Army of Ghosts" - I recommend you watch the one for "Fear Her" first just so you can get an idea of how they blend into the episode.

(note: only watch if you're someone who normally watches T.V. show previews)

Interesting. The first line that Rose says in the trailer shows up as the credits start on the SciFi version of Fear Her.

Didn't the Doctor say that he used to have a son? When did that happen?

He said he had been a Dad once. The British press made a big deal about "The Doctor's son" at the time (egged on by an offhanded comment during a set visit by Doctor 5, Peter Davison).

I don't see it as much more than continuity. Remember, the series started out with the first Doctor and his granddaughter Susan. Unless you want to play the "she wasn't his *biological* granddaughter" card, that fact certainly implies that the first Doctor was a father.
