Upgrade Frustration

I recently upgraded my TiVo with PTVupgrade to 900+hrs, but now have a new problem. When I chage channels manually i get a grey screen which isn't actually recording the channel until I select "guide". Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions?

Which channels? Are you using CableCards?

This may be a missing analog channel problem. There are a couple threads on it. See:

Well it's all channels - digital and analog - (and I am using 2 CableCards), but as soon as I select "guide" on the remote, the channel tunes in. And if the TiVo is doing it itself (i.e. Season Pass), it seems to tune in fine. Before I upgraded, none of this happened (though I did then have the duplicate channel which wouldn't tune in issue, but not now).

It's every time I manually change channels I have to re-select "guide" to get it to actually tune in...
