Question Sony SAT-T60 Hacking Problems

I had a Sony SAT-T60 several years ago & loved it... My friend hacked it for me so I could operate it from my computer w/ a turbonet card, put an hour pause instead of 30 min. I had it in my basement for the last couple years as the hd died & I no longer could afford DTV. Well, I just got DTV again a few months ago & got a series 2 DVR, which is nice, but call me strange, I still liked my old SAT-T60. So, I bought a Sony SAT-T60 off ebay w/ two Samsung 120GIG drives & a Turbonet card. Only problem is the guy couldn't tell me what the ip address was or if it even had the hack to operate it from the computer.

I'm a newbie at this & my friend moved away, so I started researching & found some info...

I had a back-up my friend made of my old hd on an old 10gig hd & just restored it to the dual 120s following Hinsdale’s instructions. I want to add the few hacks to it, bufferhack to extend it to an hour pause & I have a Turbonet card & want to make sure it's installed. Problem is, I can't tell if the Turbonet software is even installed.

Again, I'm a newbie at all this & have been following:

"TiVo Network Hack How-To Guide A step-by-step guide for first-time TiVo Network Hackers By Steve Jenkins (a.k.a. TiVo sTeVe-o) - http://tivo.stevejenkins.com/"

It says only to have the A: drive connected when installing the Turbonet software, I tried both drives plugged in singularly since I wasn't positive which was the Master (there's no jumper settings on the drives) & my PC wouldn't even recognize them unless I had them both connected. I also couldn't get them to mount so I could do a list on the drives to see what's on them already. When I hold in "Shift + Page - Up" I get the following description about my drives:

Partition check:
hdi:hdi1
hdk:Signature 1492, be16 Signature 9214
39:00: block 0 has signature 9214 rather than 1492
unknown partition table
hdl:Signature 1492, be16 Signature 9214
39:40: block 0 has signature 9214 rather than 1492
unknown partition table

I know hdi is my C: drive & hdk & hdl are my TiVo drives. Is there a problem with them though with the error messages & with me not able to mount them?

I'm just following the instructions & don't know much Unix. I AM very PC knowledgeable & have been in computers since 1982. I have also done a lot of searching & reading here & on other newsgroups & cannot find my answers...

Any help you could give me is greatly appreciated!
