Yahoo! Tivo

Forgive me if this is already common knowledge but I don't remember it being there yesterday....or for that matter even two hours ago.

Seems that tv.yahoo.com beta now has tivo scheduling attached to it instead of having to go to the tivo website.

Thanks for the heads up! What does this get us? In fact, I didn't know much about yahoo TV on the TiVo either. What does that do?

Sounds interesting!

It's been there for some time, it's just now more obvious.

Evan, If you create a my.yahoo.com account you can link it's TV listings feature to your Tivo account and use tv.yahoo.com instead of Tivo Central for online scheduling.

Is there an advantage to that? Perhaps just the convenience if you're already doing a lot with yahoo?

I think the advantage would simply be if you like Yahoo's TV listings better than TiVo Central's

IMO, none of these solutions are worth much unless they can also tell you what's already scheduled to record...

This Yahoo Beta is really honked up. It won't let me select a specific Tivo to record to and when I attempted to select "Men in Trees", at 9pm, it would only show that program at 7pm. Anyone know how to get out of the Beta and back to the original "My Yahoo TV Guide"?? Tks

Agreed, but you do realize [I dont care, but many will], that obviously means your not doing anonymous tv watching anymore if they have the ability to grab your now playing list.

I could care less, but I know there are plenty of privacy freaks out there, so this would have to be a setting, and not on by default.

I've been using yahoo since the 90's and have never googled anything so its convinient, but the only advantage is if you already use yahoo. It's also a marketing move for Tivo for those yahoo users that don't yet have tivo.

+1 for viewing To Do List on Tivo Central or even just via the web server on the Tivo itself.

And as usnret pointed out the new Yahoo TV beta is completely f***** up, give me the old version back.

Thanks for the feedback... sounds as if I'll stick with TiVo Central for the rare cases I do this on line. I'm Google dependent, not yahoo.

They are already grabbing your Season Pass list if you signed up for a guru guide and changed your privacy options. So they know what shows you are recording, you just can't see it online.

I think as long as they only showed it for people opting it, it would be nice if they added the option to show the ToDo list online.

Wow, the new Yahoo TV listings sucks. It takes several minutes to just load the current listings. Dragging the bar to change the time is even worse.

Agree! The new Yahoo TV listing does suck. Anyway to get the old listings back?
